Business Development Specialist

AVAYL GmbH is a fast-growing, VC-backed startup revolutionizing Medical Information processes in the life science industry through AI-driven solutions. Our vision is to empower customers to optimize their interactions with healthcare professionals and patients.
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist to drive customer projects and build long-term partnerships with our clients.
About the RoleThis is an ideal opportunity for someone who has extensive experience in Medical Affairs and can leverage that expertise to help customers succeed.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for our clients, engaging with executives to establish projects, drive deals, and build lasting relationships
- Scope and execute the implementation of our software platform, setting timelines, managing deliverables, and driving project success from initiation to deal signature
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless onboarding, integration, and ongoing customer satisfaction
- Facilitate various assessment processes, such as IT security and compliance assessments, while aligning our solutions to customers' needs
- Develop business cases and proposals in collaboration with AVAYL's leadership team
- Actively shape the customer journey and continuously optimize the customer experience in collaboration with the product and go-to-market team
- Create and optimize standardized content for each stage and stakeholder of a project
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3+ years of experience in project management within executive settings, demonstrating a strong ability to plan, coordinate, and execute projects while effectively building and maintaining client relationships.
- 2+ years in Medical Information or a similar function within pharmaceutical or life sciences, with deep knowledge of Medical Information processes and industry standards
- Ability to translate customer challenges into solutions, building trust, nurturing client partnerships, and driving deals to closure
- Strong foundation in planning, coordinating, and executing projects, with a proven ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships
- Excellent communication skills capable of turning complex technical information into clear, actionable insights for clients
- Nice to Have: Prior experience in Account Management, Customer Success, or client-facing roles, preferably in SaaS or technology-driven environments.
