We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager CAPEX & MRO to join our Intersnack Procurement team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the assigned categories for maintenance materials and services, capital equipment, building, infrastructure, and installation services from manufacturers and distributors across the globe at the best possible conditions.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related field, with 4+ years of procurement experience in capital equipment & MRO, ideally in collaboration with engineering. Strong supply chain and warehouse management skills are also essential. Fluency in English and German is required, with additional languages a plus.
As a Category Manager CAPEX & MRO, you will be responsible for initiating cost savings, identifying risks, tracking portfolio positions, and managing and executing category strategy plans. You will also be in permanent contact with our CAPEX and MRO suppliers and other sources of market intelligence to offer competitive propositions to our customers.
The successful candidate will be a team player with a commercial and competitive mindset, solid intercultural orientation, and the ability to develop strong working relationships. They will also have a personal drive, proactivity, a results-oriented mindset, and business acumen. Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally, mainly within Europe (up to 40%), are also essential.

Intersnack is an international player with strong brands, and our Procurement team is part of the company's international headquarters in Zevenaar. We manage the entire purchasing portfolio of the Intersnack Group from our hub sites in Düsseldorf/Cologne, DE, and Slough, UK. We produce savory snacks and crunchy popcorn, as well as nutritious nuts and creamy peanut butter, under brand names such as Chio, POM-BÄR, Tyrrell's, and KP, and also supply semi-finished products to the food industry.
