About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager CAPEX & MRO to join our Intersnack Procurement team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the assigned categories for maintenance materials and services, capital equipment, building, infrastructure, and installation services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of all strategically defined CAPEX & MRO sub-categories across Intersnack Group.
  • Link local requirements and strategies from our factories, central Engineering to our Procurement Capex & MRO strategy for the assigned categories.
  • Negotiate major MRO and Capex contracts and lead smaller local contract negotiations for the assigned categories.
  • Report on MRO and Capex market trends through market insights gathered by supplier and trade show visits.
  • Develop and achieve a pipeline of initiatives, projects, and activities with a focus on sustainable cost base reduction.
  • Solve operational issues, such as efficiency workstreams, supply interruptions, and contractual disputes.
  • Get involved in ad hoc projects as determined by your manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Procurement experience (4+ years) in capital equipment & MRO, ideally in collaboration with Engineering.
  • Supply chain / warehouse management experience.
  • Ability to speak the engineers & operations language.
  • Fluent spoken and written English and German required. Skills in further languages welcome.
  • Assertive, convincing, and with a commercial and competitive mindset.
  • Solid intercultural orientation.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships and be a valuable team player.
  • Personal drive, proactivity, results-oriented mindset, and business acumen.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally, mainly within Europe (up to 40%).
  • Sense of responsibility towards the company, colleagues, customers, and the planet.
