Category Manager CAPEX

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager CAPEX & MRO to join our Intersnack Procurement team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the assigned categories for maintenance materials and services, capital equipment, building, infrastructure, and installation services.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute strategically defined CAPEX & MRO sub-categories across the Intersnack Group.
- Link local requirements and strategies from our factories and central Engineering to our Procurement CAPEX & MRO strategy for the assigned categories.
- Negotiate major MRO and Capex contracts and lead smaller local contract negotiations for the assigned categories.
- Report on MRO and Capex market trends through market insights gathered by supplier and trade show visits.
- Develop and achieve a pipeline of initiatives, projects, and activities with a focus on sustainable cost base reduction.
- Solve operational issues, such as efficiency workstreams, supply interruptions, and contractual disputes.
- Participate in ad hoc projects as determined by your manager.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Procurement experience (4+ years) in capital equipment & MRO, ideally in collaboration with Engineering.
- Supply chain/warehouse management experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineers and operations teams.
- Fluent spoken and written English and German required. Additional languages are a plus.
- Assertive, convincing, and commercially minded.
- Strong intercultural orientation.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships and be a valuable team player.
- Personal drive, proactivity, results-oriented mindset, and business acumen.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally (up to 40%).
