Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Category Manager to join our Global Procurement department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing and realizing the strategy for Direct Spend for the assigned category, within corporate requirements and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for assigned categories
- Lead complex supplier negotiations and manage price risk exposure
- Build and maintain key relationships with suppliers, trading companies, and producers
- Track and communicate market developments and relevant market intelligence
- Manage contract implementation activity with regional contract managers
- Evaluate contract compliance and supplier performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering and/or business discipline; Master's degree preferred
- Several years of experience in supply chain and/or procurement with a global company
- Experience in chemical commodity purchasing and/or trading
- Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
