We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager CAPEX & MRO to join our Intersnack Procurement team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing assigned categories for maintenance materials and services, capital equipment, building, infrastructure, and installation services from manufacturers and distributors across the globe.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategically defined CAPEX & MRO sub-categories across the Intersnack Group, presenting to key stakeholders for overall alignment.
- Link local requirements and strategies from our factories, central Engineering to our Procurement Capex & MRO strategy for assigned categories.
- Support negotiations of major MRO and Capex contracts, leading smaller local contract negotiations for assigned categories.
- Regularly report on MRO and Capex market trends through market insights gathered by supplier and trade show visits.
- Develop and achieve a pipeline of initiatives, projects, and activities with a focus on sustainable cost base reduction, in collaboration with key stakeholders across Europe.
- Solve operational issues, such as efficiency workstreams, supply interruptions, and contractual disputes, as needed.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects as determined by your manager.
- Support your team and the company in the coherent development and application of our wider policies and objectives.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 4+ years of procurement experience in capital equipment & MRO, ideally in collaboration with Engineering.
- Supply chain/warehouse management experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineers and operations teams.
- Fluent spoken and written English and German required, with skills in additional languages welcome.
- Assertive, convincing, and commercially-minded individual with a competitive mindset.
- Solid intercultural orientation.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships and be a valuable team player.
- Personal drive, proactivity, results-oriented mindset, and business acumen.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally, mainly within Europe (up to 40%).
- Sense of responsibility towards the company, colleagues, customers, and the planet.
