Research Associate for the MOMOBIO-2 Project

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our team at Universität Hamburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in microbial ecology, with a focus on the impacts of environmental stressors on microbial communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research in microbial ecology, with a focus on the impacts of environmental stressors on microbial communities
- Develop and apply process-based ecological models to simulate the impacts of different environmental factors on microbial community composition
- Collaborate with other researchers to integrate experimental work and model predictions
- Communicate research findings through scientific writing and presentations
Requirements
- University degree in a relevant field, such as ecology, biology, or microbiology
- Advanced knowledge and experience in at least two of the following research disciplines: ecology, biogeochemistry, soil science, microbiology
- Advanced and proven skills in numerical modeling and scientific writing
- Team spirit, high motivation, independent thinking and working, and general experience with Unix-like operating systems and associated software
