Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join our team at Universität Hamburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in the field of stereoscopic X-ray vision to investigate nanoparticles.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research in the development of stereoscopic X-ray vision to investigate nanoparticles
- Implement and test the newly developed experimental in-situ environment
- Investigate nanomaterials using scanning coherent X-ray microscopy (ptychography)
- Apply numerical algorithms to combine multi-beam and multi-slicing ptychography
- Collaborate with the team at KTH, UHH, and DESY to achieve project goals
Requirements
- University degree in a relevant field plus doctorate
- Excellent understanding of solid-state physics and scanning X-ray microscopy methods
- Advanced programming skills in Python, C++, and CUDA
- Good communication and self-management skills
- PHD in the relevant field and experience with inorganic nanoparticle synthesis and characterization is a strong plus
