Avionics Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Avionics Systems Engineer to join our team at Volocopter GmbH. As an Avionics Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, integration, and verification of our aircraft systems.
Key Responsibilities- System Development and Integration: Perform system development, integration, and verification activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality aircraft systems.
- Requirements Management: Manage system/subsystem/equipment level requirements in the Avionics domain, including requirement validation and verification activities.
- System Design and Assurance: Prepare and perform system and component design reviews, internally and with suppliers, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Development Assurance: Support the development assurance activities, including system audits with authorities for ARP 4754A compliance demonstration.
- Certification and Compliance: Support the generation of compliance evidence for certification, including test plans, design reviews, and analysis reports.
- Integration and Collaboration: Facilitate the integration activities of newly developed and COTS equipment, including review of test procedures and environmental qualification gap analysis.
- Communication and Teamwork: Work closely with specialists in a multidisciplinary team and participate in communication with the certification authority.
- Education: Degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, communications engineering, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in aerospace development.
- Knowledge and Skills: Detailed knowledge and practical expertise of ARP4754A and DO-160, knowledge of certification deliverables for Type Certificate programs in CS-25/23/29/27 programs, and proven track of requirements engineering with requirement management tools like Integrity or DOORS.
- Preferred Skills: Experience with software and airborne electronic hardware standards DO-178 and DO-254, and experience in working in EASA approved Design Organization (Part21J).
