Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Avionics Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing requirement management, validation, and verification activities for the Avionics domain. This includes addressing problem reports, managing change requests, and preparing and performing system and component design reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform requirement management of system/subsystem/equipment level requirements in the Avionics domain
- Validate and support requirements verification activities
- Address problem reports and manage change requests for allocated systems
- Prepare and perform system and component design reviews (PDR, CDR, etc.)
- Support development assurance activities, including system audits with authorities for ARP 4754A compliance demonstration
- Prepare and perform data-bus design reviews, analysis, and tests
- Support generation of compliance evidence for certification (test plans, design reviews, analysis reports, etc.)
- Facilitate integration activities of newly developed and COTS equipment
- Work closely with specialists in a multidisciplinary team
- Participate in communication with certification authorities
Requirements
- Degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, communications engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in aerospace development
- Experience in Avionics functions and technology for communication, navigation, surveillance, indication, crew alerting, data recording, and others
- Detailed knowledge and practical expertise of ARP4754A and DO-160
- Knowledge of certification deliverables for Type Certificate programs in CS-25/23/29/27 programs
- Proven track record of requirements engineering with requirement management tools like Integrity or DOORS
- Minimum of 5 years of proven data-bus (CAN, A-429, RS-485, etc.) experience
- Experience in working with suppliers for 'build to specification' development and COTS integration for aircraft systems
- Thorough analytical skills, troubleshooting experience, and a structured approach
- Excellent written and spoken English
Preferred Skills
- Experience with software and airborne electronic hardware standards DO-178 and DO-254
- Experience in working in EASA-approved Design Organization (Part21J)
- Experience in working with ARINC-825 Bus
