About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager to join our Corporate Strategy team at the ZEISS Group. As a key member of our Executive Board, you will play a critical role in driving the strategic orientation of our organization, focusing on long-term transformation and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with our Executive Board, management, and business units to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive long-term growth and transformation.
- Steer strategic projects and manage initiatives that focus on the overall strategic direction of the group, including operating model and governance structures.
- Support and challenge the strategic direction of core transformation programs, such as SAP and CRM, to drive long-term development and scalability.
- Work in a complex environment across multiple business units, country organizations, and business supporting functions globally.
- Contribute to the cultural development of ZEISS towards a process- and data-driven organization and support change management initiatives at the corporate and segment level.
- Collaborate with the core team of the CTO area, segment, and country leaders to identify current issues, evaluate new fields of technology, and derive market potential and trends.
- Develop trend-setting decision papers and have a significant impact on the strategic development of ZEISS' long-term strategic direction.
About You
We are looking for a highly experienced professional with a strong background in strategic management, preferably from a leading consulting firm. Your expertise should include:
- An outstanding degree in natural sciences, engineering, or business administration with a PhD or MBA.
- At least several years of professional experience in strategic management, with a focus on large transformation programs.
- Deep experience in setting strategic directions for long-term initiatives and steering initiatives.
- Excellent analytical competence, strategic thinking, and implementation skills.
- Passion for innovation, business development, and enthusiasm for new technologies.
- Strong soft skills and empathy to lead multiple stakeholders through organizational change.
- Fluent in English, with German fluency a strong plus.
