Strategic Partnerships Manager EMEAP

The Opportunity
This position plays a crucial role in the Abbott Diabetes Care division, focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and coordinate all efforts to select, establish, and launch strategic partnerships with external organizations at both product and software as a service levels.
- Continuously assess the overall business development, future trends, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
- Lead efforts on bringing global contracts to life in the EMEAP affiliates by driving country launch readiness and ensuring executional excellence.
- Collaborate with senior strategic partnerships managers, global business development, and the legal department on negotiation of EMEAP-wide term sheets and contracts with partners.
- Select potentially interesting partners, prepare business cases, and required internal documentation to obtain approval to work on a cooperation.
- Advise EMEAP affiliates on establishing local partnerships.
- Act as a point of contact for all internal stakeholders, including marketing, commercial, and affiliates.
Qualifications & Skills
- Relevant business, legal, or life-sciences university degree.
- At least 5 years of previous relevant experience within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in product launches and business development.
- Excellent communication and project management skills to ensure smooth launch execution.
- Previous experience in contract negotiation is preferred.
- Knowledge in Health Care or MedTech or Pharma, ideally the Diabetes sector.
- Curious to discover new trends and technologies.
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Displays a desire for continuous learning and development.
- Fluency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of a second language is desirable.
- The position requires the willingness to travel within Europe, Middle East & Africa and US (max 20%).
