The Opportunity
This role is pivotal within our organization, focusing on the Abbott Diabetes Care division, which is dedicated to empowering individuals with diabetes to manage their health through innovative products that deliver precise data for informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Spearheading and orchestrating initiatives to identify, establish, and implement collaborations with external partners at both product and software service levels.
- Ongoing evaluation of business growth, emerging trends, and the competitive landscape.
- Championing the execution of EMEAP/global agreements within EMEAP affiliates by ensuring readiness for country launches and maintaining operational excellence through the sharing of best practices.
- Collaborating with the senior strategic partnerships manager, global business development, and legal teams to negotiate EMEAP-wide agreements and contracts with partners.
- Identifying potential partners, developing business cases, and preparing necessary internal documentation to secure approval for partnerships. Advising EMEAP affiliates on local partnership opportunities.
- Serving as the primary contact for all internal stakeholders, including partners, global business development, EMEAP marketing & commercial teams, and EMEAP affiliates, with marketing overseeing co-promotional activities.
Qualifications & Skills
- A relevant degree in business, law, or life sciences.
- A minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Proven experience in product launches.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to cultivate trustworthy relationships with internal and external stakeholders across all organizational levels.
- Strong project management capabilities to ensure seamless execution of launches across EMEAP and with various external partners.
- Previous experience in business development and successful contract negotiations is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Health Care, MedTech, or Pharma, particularly in the Diabetes sector.
- An eagerness to explore new trends and technologies.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic environment while meeting established timelines and objectives.
- A commitment to continuous learning and development, demonstrating potential for growth and advancement to roles with greater responsibilities.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; knowledge of an additional language is a plus.
- Willingness to travel within Europe, the Middle East & Africa, and the US (up to 20%).
