Care Professional/Social Educator for the Heinrich-Theißen-House (m/w/d)

Part-time. 19.5 hours/week in shift work, excluding night shifts - sickness cover initially limited to 2 years

The Diakonisches Werk im Ev. Kirchenkreis Gladbeck-Bottrop-Dorsten gGmbH supports people with disabilities with various living options and many other forms of support.

In the Heinrich-Theißen-House in Bottrop, people with intellectual disabilities with and without care needs find a place to live and live. The residential home is located directly next to the Rheinbaben workshop, a workshop for people with intellectual disabilities, and a modern support area for people with severe multiple disabilities.

Job Summary:
We are looking for a care professional/social educator to work in a residential group for people with intellectual disabilities and special care needs.

Responsibilities:
  • You will work in a residential group for people with intellectual disabilities and special care needs
  • You will develop and implement an individual care plan with the residents
  • You will document the care process, identify weaknesses, and develop alternative actions
  • You will actively support the residents in their daily lives with joy and enthusiasm
  • You will work in a multi-professional team and promote professional exchange

  • You have a completed education as a care specialist, social worker, educator, or comparable profession
  • You are willing to take on responsibility and are reliable
  • You appreciate diversity and live openness
  • You maintain a respectful and empathetic approach to the residents
  • You are willing to work in shift and weekend work (early and late shifts)
