Position: Caregiver / Social Educator at Diakonisches Werk im Ev. Kirchenkreis Gladbeck-Bottrop-Dorsten gGmbH (m/f/d)

Part-time role with a commitment of 19.5 hours weekly. The position involves shift work, excluding night shifts, and serves as a temporary replacement.

This role involves working in a residential setting designed for individuals with intellectual disabilities, catering to both those requiring care and those who do not. The facility is integrated with a workshop and support services for individuals with severe multiple disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with residents in a supportive residential environment tailored for individuals with intellectual disabilities and unique support requirements.
  • Collaborate with residents to develop and execute personalized support strategies.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of care progress, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and propose alternative approaches.
  • Provide active assistance to residents in their daily living tasks.
  • Contribute to a multidisciplinary team and foster professional collaboration.
Qualifications:
  • Completed training in fields such as special needs education, caregiving, social work, pedagogy, or related disciplines.
  • Ability to assume responsibility and demonstrate reliability.
  • Appreciate diversity and maintain an open-minded approach.
  • Exhibit respectful and empathetic communication with residents.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends (morning and evening shifts).
