Senior Business Development Manager

We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join our Life Sciences division in Germany.
Main Purpose:
To drive new business development, acquiring new logo customers aligned with company strategy and objectives, and executing commercial strategy under the direction of the General Manager and Head of Sales.
Main Responsibilities:
- Discover, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities within target industries and customer groups, focusing on strategic, global, and enterprise-level opportunities.
- Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials.
- Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
- Collaborate with senior decision-makers to develop negotiation strategies, aligning requirements with solutions and evaluating potential risks.
- Sell products by developing relationships with prospects and recommending solutions.
- Closes new business deals by integrating contract requirements with business operations.
- Lead the strategic development and execution of won and/or assigned new and ramping accounts.
- Build market position by locating, developing, defining, and building business relationships through industry networking and participation in industry events.
- Develop a deep understanding of prospects' business goals, competition, growth plans, and obstacles.
- Position all Acolad solutions and services with the help of product specialists.
- Implement sales and pipeline building market strategies.
- Responsible for the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing the deal and setting an account on a path to reach its full potential.
- Manage an ongoing pipeline of revenue and activity.
- Assist with RFP/Tender/Proposal.
- Proactively develop sales skills and market/business knowledge, applying best practice techniques and tools to maximize performance and share with Business Development team colleagues.
- Achieve budgets, targets, activity levels, as agreed with the General Manager and Head of Sales.
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting/budgeting for personal new business pipeline.
Together with the Head of Sales:
- Support the alignment of the EU BDM team with the BU Business Plan/Go To Market strategy.
- Support business growth and achievement of Revenue objectives.
- Continuously refine the strategy to focus on growth and acquisition of new clients.
- Masters the ACOLAD service and solutions portfolio, supporting team on business case and positioning of complex combinations of services and technologies.
- Monitor customers, market, and competitor activity, identifying emerging markets and market shifts.
- Monitor and strive to understand the implications of regulatory changes and requirements on the life sciences language space.
- Comply with sales process and training, maintaining eCRM data quality.
- Partner with the Business Development team for business excellence:
- Build tight connections with the BD team and Heads of Sales to share best practices and accelerate the growth of the entity.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of proven experience in new logo acquisition, business development, and reaching sales quota.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business management, Economics, Financial, or Marketing.
- Ideal candidate will have proven experience working in the Clinical, more specifically Linguistic Validation space.
- Must have a keen interest in driving efficiency and disruption in this space; comfortable incorporating AI and technology into service offerings.
- Able to demand confidence and trust in a highly visible and growing area of the business.
