We are currently seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager focused on Forestry and Civil Protection to join our Business Development Department.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of Business Development Manager for Forestry and Civil Protection, you will contribute to OroraTech's overarching objectives by broadening our influence and effectiveness within the forestry management and civil protection sectors. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining the company's market positioning by assessing the needs and challenges of the forestry and civil protection customer segments.
  • Collaborating closely with Product Development, Sales, and Customer Success teams to enhance and innovate solutions that align with market and customer needs.
  • Partnering with Product Management to inform product strategies and roadmaps as a market expert.
  • Conducting thorough competitive analysis and establishing pricing strategies to maintain a competitive edge for our solutions.
  • Formulating and executing go-to-market strategies for specific offerings, working alongside sales and marketing teams for effective rollout.
  • Evaluating and articulating the value our solutions deliver through a customer-centric design thinking approach, identifying necessary enhancements for value creation.
  • Engaging in and influencing strategic decisions related to forestry and civil protection solutions, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
  • Representing the company's solution needs and interests in interactions with both internal and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships.
Key Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or a related field, with a focus on wildfire management or remote sensing.
  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Forest Management, Environmental Science, or a related discipline is required; technical backgrounds are preferred.
  • Proficiency in competitor analysis, strategic planning, and market analysis within B2B and B2G environments.
  • Extensive experience and understanding of the forestry and/or civil protection sectors, along with a track record of scaling business operations on a global scale.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to cultivate and sustain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • A proactive, innovative, and results-oriented mindset, with a passion for technology and its application in addressing real-world challenges.
