Your Role and Responsibilities
- You will oversee the commercial operations of the Engineering and Commissioning sectors, which encompass over 700 personnel, within the 'Mobility Rolling Stock' division of the Locomotives & Coaches (LMC) segment.
- Your leadership will extend to managing the commercial teams (7 members) across two departments, reporting directly to the commercial segment management. Your team will operate from multiple locations.
- You will be accountable for all commercial functions and processes, ensuring their ongoing enhancement. Acting as a commercial advisor to technical management, you will maintain a focus on commercial principles aligned with the business segment strategy.
- Your responsibilities will include leading the Digi Hub for the LMC, which promotes digitalization through robotics, dashboards, and Mendix applications.
- You will coordinate the research and development processes.
- Your role will involve actively managing external commissioning partners, including negotiations related to pricing and service delivery.
- You will ensure transparency regarding current proposals and projects while monitoring economic key performance indicators.
- You will manage the budget, year-end, and forecasting processes.
- Additionally, you will serve as a role model for workforce transformation and the application of innovative business intelligence technologies and artificial intelligence solutions.
Qualifications and Skills
- A successful degree in business administration or equivalent training, complemented by several years of relevant professional experience.
- Extensive experience in a commercial management capacity (e.g., in controlling, line functions, or project management), preferably within the rail vehicle sector or similar industries. International collaboration experience is advantageous.
- Proficient in reporting tools (Dash applications, Smart Reporting, SAC, etc.) and SAP, along with data preparation and visualization software.
- A solid understanding of commercial cause-and-effect relationships, coupled with strong analytical and evaluative skills.
- Excellent communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and experience in facilitation and presentation.
- Experience in personnel management is preferred.
- Fluency in English is essential, with a good command of German (minimum B2 level) and a willingness to travel (approximately 20%).
