Key Responsibilities
- Conduct credit evaluations for new clientele
- Oversee counterparty and country risk assessments (KYC)
- Review and revise existing credit limits
- Collaborate with commercial managers regarding credit limit payment terms and communicate decisions promptly
- Partner with business units to devise solutions that align with corporate strategies
- Gather and analyze customer data, including financial statements and securities
- Maintain documentation of processes within the GetPaid credit system
- Ensure accountability for documentary transactions
- Monitor payment plans and manage overdue accounts
- Work alongside legal teams on insolvency matters
- Fulfill reporting obligations
- Serve as a liaison for internal and external stakeholders on credit-related inquiries
Qualifications
- Completion of banking, commercial, or administrative training, or a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Controlling, or a related field
- Ideally, 3-5 years of experience in a Credit Manager role within an international organization, preferably in the food production sector
- Certification as a 'Certified Credit Manager' or 'Certified Credit Controller' is advantageous
- Proficient in both written and spoken English, with good German skills; additional language proficiencies are a plus
- A meticulous, organized, and responsible work ethic complemented by an analytical mindset
- Assertive, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Capacity to manage high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work three days a week from our Hamburg office
