Credit Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct credit evaluations for new clientele.
- Monitor counterparty and country risk, ensuring compliance with KYC regulations.
- Review and adjust existing credit limits as necessary.
- Collaborate with commercial managers regarding credit limit payment terms and communicate decisions promptly.
- Work alongside business units to identify solutions that align with corporate strategies.
- Gather and analyze customer data, including financial statements and collateral.
- Maintain detailed records of actions taken within the GetPaid credit system.
- Oversee documentary business accountability.
- Follow up on payment arrangements and manage bad debt cases.
- Coordinate with legal teams on insolvency matters.
- Ensure compliance with reporting obligations.
- Serve as a primary contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding credit inquiries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Controlling, or a related field, or equivalent experience in banking or administration.
- Ideally, 3-5 years of experience in a Credit Manager role within an international setting, preferably in the food production sector.
- Certification as a 'Certified Credit Manager' or 'Certified Credit Controller' is advantageous.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken, with a good command of German; additional language skills are a plus.
- A meticulous, organized, and responsible work ethic, combined with analytical thinking and a sense of ownership.
- Strong assertiveness, goal-oriented mindset, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Capacity to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid model, with three days per week in the Hamburg office.
