Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough credit evaluations for new clientele.
- Oversee counterparty and country risk assessments (KYC).
- Review and adjust existing credit limits as necessary.
- Collaborate with commercial managers regarding credit limit payment terms and ensure timely communication of decisions.
- Work closely with business units to identify solutions that align with corporate strategies.
- Gather and analyze customer data, including financial statements and securities.
- Maintain detailed records of actions taken within the GetPaid credit system.
- Manage documentary business responsibilities.
- Monitor payment plans and address bad debt issues.
- Coordinate with legal teams on insolvency matters.
- Fulfill reporting obligations effectively.
- Serve as a primary contact for both internal and external stakeholders regarding credit inquiries.
Qualifications
- Completion of a banking, commercial, or administrative apprenticeship, or a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Controlling, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Credit Manager role within an international organization, ideally in the food production sector.
- Certification as a 'Certified Credit Manager' or 'Certified Credit Controller' is advantageous.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English, with good command of German; additional language skills are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work with precision, structure, and responsibility, coupled with an analytical mindset and ownership approach.
- Assertive, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work from our Hamburg office three days a week.
