Business Development Specialist

Impact Funding Europe GmbH (IFE) is a dynamic company dedicated to securing funding for impactful projects in the fields of Climate Neutral, Smart City, and Digital innovation. We work with leading companies, research institutions, NGOs, and cities across Europe to identify grant opportunities and build successful project consortia.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Executive to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in expanding our client base and identifying new opportunities for funding within the European landscape.
Your Responsibilities- Support the senior team in identifying and onboarding new clients from across Europe.
- Collaborate with the grant writing team to identify and onboard organizations that can contribute to upcoming grant projects.
- Engage with IFE's existing client base to understand their capabilities, aspirations, and potential project needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with IFE partner organizations to foster collaboration and encourage customer referrals.
- Maintain and update IFE's internal CRM system to ensure accurate and up-to-date client information.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education; a degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a sales support, sales administration, marketing, or account management role.
- Experience managing multi-partner cross-country projects and confidence in initiating contact with potential new clients.
- A genuine interest in Smart City, Climate Neutral, and Digital topics, as well as working with clients from diverse backgrounds across Europe.
- Excellent communication and writing skills (in English), strong organizational and teamwork abilities, and the ability to work independently in a multicultural, remote environment.
- Autonomous, creative, curious, and able to take initiative and responsibility.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential; other languages are an asset.
- Familiarity with computer applications/packages (MS Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS communication tools (Outlook, Teams, OneNote).
- Knowledge of online CRM software (MS Dynamics) or a willingness to learn.
