Become a pivotal member of SPRK as the Director of Strategic Partnerships

At SPRK, we recognize the potential for connecting surplus, perfectly edible food with various stakeholders in the supply chain, including producers, retailers, canteens, and non-profit organizations. As the Director of Strategic Partnerships, you will oversee our SPRK Marketplace and its dedicated team. You will hold both strategic and operational accountability for alliances, agreements, company revenue, and the growth of the digital SPRK Marketplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accountable for revenue generation and scaling in alignment with budgetary and strategic objectives, while defining and executing initiatives to meet these targets in close collaboration with the CEO and SPRK Management.
  • Conceptualizing and enhancing the digital offering in close partnership with the Product Team.
  • Strategic oversight of partnerships - broadening the SPRK Marketplace through its commercial transaction platform.
  • Comprehensive operational management of ongoing processes, transactions in daily operations (facilitating connections between surplus and buyers), and actively engaging in or assuming responsibility for specific deals.
  • Establishing new partnerships and nurturing existing relationships, fostering a professional and effective Key Account Management approach.
  • Leading effectively and promoting proactive employee development, serving as a guiding role model.
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a proven track record in Business Development and partner management, including at least 3 years in a strategic leadership capacity with team oversight.
  • Adept at identifying opportunities and securing significant accounts, demonstrating a systematic approach to deal-making and transaction management.
  • Prior experience in the food sector, strategic procurement, or a leadership role in Sales or Business Development within a Food Start-Up.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging both the team and clients in the commercial activities under your purview.
  • Fluency in both German and English, both written and spoken.
