Position Overview

At Workday, our Specialized Account Executives are vital contributors to our Field Sales team. With a focus on generating new revenue, they drive the growth of Workday's specialized offerings, including Adaptive Planning, Scout, HiredScore, and Peakon. This dedicated group of professionals plays a crucial role in assisting new clients in transitioning from outdated systems to a modern enterprise management cloud.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive short-term strategy for assigned accounts, ensuring alignment with client business goals while fostering long-term relationships.
  • Develop and nurture connections with clients and channel partners, emphasizing deal management and aligning customer requirements with specific Workday solutions.
  • Collaborate with Net New and Customer Base Account Executives to uncover potential sales opportunities for existing specialized product clients.
  • Maintain precise and timely records of customer interactions, pipeline status, and service forecasts.

Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in selling SaaS/Cloud solutions to C-level executives in a field sales capacity.
  • Proven track record of managing sales cycles exceeding 9 months, including prospecting for opportunities.
  • Experience in account planning and collaborating with internal teams to ensure alignment.
  • Background in HR Technology and talent acquisition.

Preferred Skills

  • In-depth understanding of the competitive landscape and industry trends to effectively position Workday solutions.
  • Ability to develop expertise in new products and stay informed about industry developments.
  • Collaboration with internal teams on account strategies for prospecting and territory management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of establishing credibility with senior executives.
  • Experience selling to large enterprises or Fortune 1000 companies.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, adaptable, and inquisitive.
  • Goal-oriented with a consistent history of exceeding performance targets.
  • Prior experience in a dynamic startup environment.
