Position Overview

At Workday, we recognize that our Specialized Account Executives are essential contributors to our Field Sales division. Focused on generating new revenue, they drive the growth of Workday's specialized product offerings, such as Adaptive Planning, Scout, HiredScore, and Peakon. This dedicated team of professionals plays a pivotal role in assisting new clients as they transition from outdated legacy systems to a modern enterprise management cloud solution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive short-term strategy for the assigned accounts, ensuring alignment with customer business goals while fostering long-term relationships.
  • Establish and nurture connections with clients and channel partners, emphasizing deal management and aligning customer requirements with tailored Workday solutions.
  • Collaborate with Net New and Customer Base Account Executives to uncover potential sales opportunities for existing specialized product clients.
  • Maintain precise and timely records of customer interactions, pipeline status, and service forecasts.

Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in selling SaaS/Cloud solutions to C-level executives in a field sales environment.
  • Proven track record of managing sales cycles lasting over 9 months, including proactive prospecting.
  • Experience in account planning and collaborating with internal teams to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Background in HR technology and talent acquisition.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong understanding of the competitive landscape and industry trends to effectively position Workday solutions.
  • Ability to develop in-depth product knowledge on new offerings and stay informed about market developments.
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues on account strategies for effective prospecting and territory management.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build credibility with senior leadership.
  • Experience selling to large enterprises or Fortune 1000 companies.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, adaptable, and curious.
  • Results-driven with a consistent history of exceeding performance targets.
  • Prior experience in a dynamic startup environment.
