Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the development of new control elements aimed at enhancing user interaction within vehicles.
  • Investigate and refine cutting-edge body electronics, sensor technologies, and feedback systems for future production.
  • Conduct measurements to assess haptic characteristics and contribute to the advancement of haptic systems.
  • Participate in technology scouting and the conceptual validation of emerging technologies.
  • Work collaboratively with partners from both established industries and startups.

Key Challenges:

  • Understanding the IDM measurement principle.
  • Improving data transfer efficiency between software components.
  • Enhancing the graphical user interface of measurement robots for better preparation and analysis.
  • Executing measurement tasks and familiarizing oneself with tools for haptic effect development.
  • Engaging in mechanical tasks and soldering work.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field with a focus on design.
  • Proficiency in Matlab and Simulink.
  • Familiarity with measurement and sensor technologies is preferred.
  • Experience with command line interfaces, Linux, and networked systems is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of UX prototyping tools such as Sketch, Flinto, Adobe Illustrator, and Blender is a plus.
  • Competence in MS Office applications.
