The Body Electronics pre-development team at Mercedes-Benz is dedicated to creating innovative control elements that enhance the driving experience. We focus on intuitive operability, high-quality design, and seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies like sensor systems, lighting, and feedback mechanisms.

As a Working Student in Haptic Measurement Technology, you'll play a vital role in evaluating and optimizing haptic properties within our dynamic environment. Your contributions will directly impact the development of next-generation haptic systems, expanding their functionality and quality.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Gain expertise in the IDM measurement principle
  • Optimize data transfer between program components
  • Enhance the user interface (GUI) of the measuring robot for improved measurement preparation and analysis tools
  • Conduct comprehensive measurement tasks
  • Familiarize yourself with industry-leading tools for haptic effect development
  • Contribute to haptic design initiatives
  • Research, procure, and commission systems and components
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Perform mechanical and soldering tasks as needed
Your Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, ideally with a focus on design
  • Proficiency in Matlab with Simulink
  • Experience with measurement and sensor technology is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with Commandline, Linux, and networked systems is advantageous
  • Knowledge of UX prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Flinto, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Blender; AR/VR: Unity 3D, Blender) is a plus
  • Strong command of MS Office Suite
