Senior Cost Optimization Analyst

As a Senior Knowledge Analyst within BCG's Operations Practice Area, you will engage with a dynamic global team, delivering specialized expertise and insights while collaborating with case and proposal teams to develop knowledge assets, conduct analyses, and provide expert advisory services. You will act as a thought partner and content authority to case teams and sector leaders, assisting in structuring and resolving intricate challenges.
Your role as a specialist in cost analysis, reduction, and efficiency enhancement in corporate functions (such as Finance and HR) will encompass a spectrum of contributions, from remote assistance with ad-hoc inquiries to comprehensive involvement in modules or cases, occasionally on-site with clients. You will become proficient in BCG's methodologies and tools, producing original cost analyses, including benchmarking, and offering insights to case teams while participating in problem-solving discussions.
• Addressing client challenges by selecting and implementing analytical methodologies in your area of expertise, particularly in cost optimization, analytics, and organizational design, ideally related to corporate functions operations.
• Systematizing knowledge and sustaining assets and tools in collaboration with our consultants, tools, and analytics teams.
• Engaging with senior stakeholders in a credible and assured manner.
• Collaborating effectively within a group dynamic, often in virtual settings, and demonstrating proficiency in agile methodologies.
• Exhibiting flexibility and a curious, innovative mindset, open to new ideas and capable of proposing creative solutions.
• Navigating through complexity and ambiguity with ease.
• A minimum of 2 years of consulting experience relevant to corporate functions; candidates with consulting backgrounds are preferred.
• Alternatively, a minimum of 3 years of industry experience is required, with 4-6+ years being strongly preferred.
• A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory (an advanced degree is preferred).
• Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of German is advantageous.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders while working in a globally collaborative team environment.
As a Senior Knowledge Analyst, you will work alongside global topic leaders and colleagues across BCG, leveraging expertise and capabilities to serve our internal and external clients. Our team comprises a diverse array of knowledge positions, enabling us to pursue exciting and innovative knowledge careers.
ADDITIONAL CONTEXTThe Knowledge Team (KT) consists of functional and/or industry experts who utilize deep domain knowledge to provide insights for case teams and clients. KT members are affiliated with BCG Practice Areas, connected to the strategic agenda, and develop and deploy cutting-edge IP data tools/assets to deliver valuable insights.
Members of BCG's Knowledge Team are assigned to cases and collaborate to co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in specific functions, and comprehensive research and analysis of market information. KT members also support the Practice Areas' business development and proposals and help organize and codify the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver exceptional business value for its clients.
