Supply Chain Optimization Analyst

A Supply Planning Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of a company's supply chain. This position involves strategizing and overseeing the supply of products to satisfy customer needs, optimizing stock levels, and reducing expenses. The Analyst collaborates with various teams, including Supply Planners and warehouse operations, as well as Commercial and Finance departments, to synchronize supply strategies with corporate goals.Key Responsibilities:
Create and sustain stock forecasts that align with demand projections. Manage warehouse inbound capacity planning for both short and long-term horizons, analyzing potential risks and opportunities. Monitor and enhance inventory levels to meet customer needs while minimizing holding costs (including projections for out-of-stock or overstock scenarios). Analyze data and assess performance metrics to pinpoint areas for enhancement and execute solutions. Support operational cost-effectiveness through warehouse capacity planning: by tracking incoming capacity of each warehouse and evaluating risks associated with upcoming shipments, ensuring efficient routing and adjustments in container arrivals, and coordinating with direct replenishment. Oversee and track orders from Asia to Europe, forecasting how changes in estimated arrival times will impact country availability, stock levels, and warehouse capacity. Produce reports and deliver insights to relevant stakeholders for informed decision-making. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align supply chain initiatives with business objectives, streamlining operations and enhancing overall supply chain performance. Implement best practices and innovative strategies to boost efficiency and effectiveness. This is a permanent full-time role based in our Dusseldorf office, with the option for partial remote work, although some positions may necessitate visits to warehouses.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, PowerBI). Demonstrated experience in supply chain management, with a preference for candidates who have worked in retail or e-commerce settings. Proficient in relevant software and tools, including ERP systems and logistics management platforms. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for interpreting complex data and generating actionable insights. A proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at all levels. Strong organizational and time-management skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment. Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while effectively managing multiple priorities. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with stakeholders at all levels. Fluency in English (oral and written) is essential. Key Success Factors:Accurate stock forecasting and efficient inbound capacity planning for warehouses.
