A Supply Planning Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of a company's supply chain. This position involves strategizing and overseeing the flow of products to fulfill customer needs, enhancing inventory management, and reducing operational costs. The Analyst works in collaboration with various teams, including Supply Planners, warehouse operations, and the Commercial and Finance departments, to synchronize supply strategies with corporate goals.Key Responsibilities:
Create and sustain stock forecasts based on supply strategies that correspond with demand predictions. Manage inbound capacity planning for warehouses, assessing both short-term and long-term risks and opportunities. Monitor and refine inventory levels to satisfy customer demand while minimizing holding costs (including projections for stockouts or excess inventory). Analyze data and monitor performance indicators to pinpoint areas for enhancement and execute effective solutions. Support operational efficiency through warehouse capacity planning by tracking incoming capacities and evaluating risks associated with upcoming shipments, ensuring optimal routing and adjustments in container arrivals. Oversee and track orders from Asia to Europe, assessing how changes in estimated arrival times will impact stock availability and warehouse capacities. Produce reports and deliver insights to relevant stakeholders for informed decision-making. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align supply chain initiatives with business objectives, streamlining processes and enhancing overall supply chain efficiency. Implement best practices and innovative strategies to boost operational effectiveness. This is a permanent full-time role that offers flexibility for remote work, although some responsibilities may necessitate visits to warehouses.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Proficient in Excel and familiar with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, PowerBI). Demonstrated experience in supply chain management, with a preference for backgrounds in retail or e-commerce. Competence in relevant software and tools, including ERP systems and logistics management platforms. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for interpreting complex data and generating actionable insights. A proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting data and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at all levels. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while effectively managing multiple priorities. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with stakeholders across all levels.
