Supply Chain Optimization Analyst

As a Supply Planning Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our supply chain. This position involves strategizing and overseeing the supply of products to satisfy customer needs, optimizing stock levels, and reducing expenses. You will collaborate with various teams, including Supply Planners, warehouse operations, and Commercial and Finance departments, to ensure that supply strategies align with corporate goals.Your responsibilities will include:
Creating and updating stock projections that correspond with demand forecasts. Overseeing inbound capacity planning for warehouses, considering both short-term and long-term analyses of potential risks and opportunities. Monitoring and optimizing inventory levels to fulfill customer requirements while minimizing holding costs, including forecasting out-of-stock or overstock scenarios. Analyzing data and performance metrics to pinpoint areas for enhancement and executing effective solutions. Supporting operational cost efficiency through effective warehouse capacity planning by tracking incoming capacities and analyzing risks associated with upcoming shipments, ensuring optimal routing and adjustments in container arrivals. Coordinating and overseeing orders from Asia to Europe, assessing how changes in estimated arrival times will impact stock availability and warehouse capacities. Generating reports and delivering insights to relevant stakeholders for informed decision-making. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to synchronize supply chain operations with business objectives, streamlining processes, and enhancing overall supply chain efficiency. Implementing best practices and innovative strategies to boost operational effectiveness. This is a permanent full-time role based in our Dusseldorf office, with the option for partial remote work, although some responsibilities may necessitate visits to warehouses.
Your qualifications include:
A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Proficient in Excel and familiar with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, PowerBI). Demonstrated experience in supply chain management, with a preference for candidates with a background in retail or e-commerce. Competence in relevant software and tools, including ERP systems and logistics management platforms. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for interpreting complex data and formulating actionable insights. A proactive mindset in identifying and addressing challenges is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at all levels. Strong organizational and time-management skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment. Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while effectively managing multiple priorities. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in English (both oral and written) is essential. Key Success Factors:Accurate stock projections and efficient inbound capacity planning for warehouses.
