ImFusion is a research and development consulting firm specializing in medical imaging technologies. Our expertise encompasses image processing, computer vision, artificial intelligence, and robotics, enabling us to assist clients in pioneering advancements in medical technology.

We are looking to enhance our team with skilled and driven individuals who can contribute to the development and commercialization of cutting-edge medical products in partnership with esteemed clients.

As a Senior Research Scientist within our Computed Tomography division, you will engage in client projects, advance our sophisticated visual computing software framework, and share your expertise with both team members and clients. This role offers the chance to explore innovative medical applications and significantly impact our framework using Python and C++.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Independently designing and implementing intricate scientific algorithms utilizing state-of-the-art methodologies
  • Conducting research for both client and internal initiatives
  • Performing code evaluations and software assessments
  • Contributing to software architecture design and review processes
  • Engaging with clients and leading project initiatives
  • Staying informed on the latest developments in the scientific community
  • Alerting management to any security-related discoveries
  • Proposing enhancements for both software and organizational processes
  • Collaborating effectively and respectfully with colleagues and clients
  • Managing workload according to project management guidelines
  • Assisting in the onboarding of new team members
  • Authoring scientific publications and reports
  • Overseeing the work of research scientists
Your Profile
  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience
  • Proficient programming skills in C++, with familiarity in libraries such as Eigen considered advantageous
  • Experience in parallel programming for GPUs (e.g., OpenGL and CUDA)
  • Understanding of tomographic reconstruction, inverse problems, and optimization techniques
  • Ability to conduct applied research autonomously
  • Dependable team player with a quick learning aptitude
  • Fluent in English
