As a Senior Research Scientist within our Computed Tomography division, you will engage in client projects, advance our sophisticated visual computing software framework, and impart your knowledge and expertise to colleagues and clients alike. This role provides a unique opportunity to explore various medical applications and significantly contribute to our software framework using Python and C++.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Independently designing and implementing intricate scientific algorithms utilizing state-of-the-art methodologies
- Conducting research for both client and internal initiatives
- Performing code evaluations and software validation
- Engaging in software architecture design and assessment
- Interfacing with clients and leading project initiatives
- Staying abreast of advancements in the scientific domain
- Alerting management to any security-related discoveries
- Proposing enhancements for both software and organizational processes
- Collaborating effectively and respectfully with team members and clients
- Prioritizing tasks within the framework established by project management
- Assisting in the onboarding of new team members
- Authoring scientific publications and reports
- Overseeing the work of fellow research scientists
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience
- Proficient programming abilities in C++, with familiarity in libraries such as Eigen considered advantageous
- Experience in parallel programming for GPU applications (e.g., OpenGL and CUDA)
- Understanding of tomographic reconstruction, inverse problems, and optimization techniques
- Capable of conducting applied research autonomously
- Dependable team player with a capacity for rapid learning
- Fluent in English
