As a Senior Research Scientist in our Computed Tomography division at ImFusion, you will engage in client projects, advance our sophisticated visual computing software framework, and share your expertise with colleagues and clients alike. This role provides the chance to explore the forefront of various medical applications and significantly impact our framework using Python and C++.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Independently design and implement intricate scientific algorithms utilizing the latest techniques
- Conduct research for both client and internal initiatives
- Perform code evaluations and software testing
- Participate in the design and review of software architecture
- Engage with clients and lead project initiatives
- Stay updated on advancements in the scientific community
- Report any security-related findings to management
- Propose enhancements for both software and organizational processes
- Collaborate effectively and respectfully with team members and clients
- Manage workload according to project management guidelines
- Assist in onboarding new team members
- Draft scientific publications and reports
- Oversee the work of fellow research scientists
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline, or a minimum of 3+ years of relevant industry experience
- Proficient programming skills in C++, with experience in libraries such as Eigen being advantageous
- Familiarity with parallel programming for GPUs (e.g., OpenGL and CUDA)
- Understanding of tomographic reconstruction, inverse problems, and optimization techniques
- Capable of conducting applied research autonomously
- Dependable team player with a quick learning ability
- Fluent in English
