Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our team at IONITY. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with business partners and other departments to drive projects forward, such as CSRD and transition managed service provider initiatives.
- Challenge and improve existing processes and controls, and implement new processes and guidelines within a European environment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for auditors and tax consultants.
- Support the accounting team in ensuring accuracy and compliance in accounting and tax for our legal entities and over 20 branches.
- Review the monthly and quarterly reporting packages prepared by the Shared Service Center.
- Support the preparation and review of local VAT returns and other tax reportings, such as Intrastat and SAFT-Report, prepared by our Shared Service Center or local tax consultants for IONITY and its branches.
- Coordinate and manage the outsourced Shared Service Center and local teams of tax consultants.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration with a focus on taxes, accounting, or auditing, or a comparable education such as certified accountant or tax specialist.
- Approximately 3-5 years of professional experience in the mentioned areas, ideally in a tax or auditing company or a company with a European environment.
- Deep indirect tax knowledge within a European environment.
- Understanding of accounting rules and principles according to HGB and IFRS.
- Understanding of accounting processes in a European accounting environment.
- Analytical mind, conscientious, independent, and structured way of working.
- Excellent team and communication skills at all levels.
- Very good language skills in German and English, MS Office, especially Excel, and ideally SAP/S4 Hana skills.
