Role Overview

As the Senior Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and compliance matters for our entities in Germany and Austria. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounting Leadership: Manage critical accounting functions including month-end and year-end closures in collaboration with the local controlling team.
  • Financial Reporting: Support the preparation, auditing, and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with HGB and IFRS standards.
  • Process Improvement: Spearhead cross-departmental initiatives aimed at automating processes and enhancing the efficiency of our accounting and controlling systems.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare advance tax returns and declarations in partnership with external tax advisors.
  • Audit Coordination: Lead local annual audits alongside external auditors and assist in the group audit process.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for external partners, including tax consultants, auditors, and financial institutions, as well as the internal accounting shared service center.
Qualifications
  • Degree in economics or equivalent experience as a Senior Accountant or Chief Accountant.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience in accounting and/or auditing.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects across various departments under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interest in the dynamic and innovative environment of a digital challenger.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a structured and independent working approach, prioritizing effectively while maintaining composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is a plus.
