Senior Accounting Manager

- Oversee all accounting and compliance matters for the German and Austrian branches.
- Manage essential accounting cycles, including monthly and annual closings, in collaboration with the local finance team.
- Assist in the preparation and auditing of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports in compliance with HGB and IFRS standards.
- Lead interdepartmental initiatives aimed at automating and enhancing accounting and controlling processes.
- Prepare preliminary tax returns and declarations in conjunction with external tax advisors.
- Coordinate local annual audits with external auditors and facilitate the group audit process.
- Act as the primary liaison for external partners, including tax advisors, auditors, banks, and the internal accounting shared service center.
- Educational Background: Degree in economics or equivalent experience as a Senior Accountant / Chief Accountant.
- Experience: Minimum of four years in accounting and/or auditing roles.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex projects across various departments under tight deadlines.
- Interest: Strong enthusiasm for the dynamic and innovative landscape of a digital challenger.
- Skills: Excellent analytical skills, structured and independent work style, with a focus on prioritization and composure in high-pressure situations.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is advantageous.
