Role Overview
The primary objective of this position is to assist METRO entities in formulating, executing, and sustaining strategies, plans, and protocols that ensure the continuity of our IT services and business functions. This role requires close collaboration with various stakeholders throughout the organization to identify risks, evaluate impacts, and develop resilience measures to protect our essential assets and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist METRO entities in creating and maintaining thorough IT Business Continuity (BC) and Service Continuity (SC) plans that align with industry standards and best practices. Perform risk assessments and business impact analyses to pinpoint potential threats and vulnerabilities. Work with cross-functional teams to define recovery objectives, strategies, and priorities for IT services and business operations. Collaborate with IT teams to aid in designing and implementing resilient architectures, redundancy measures, and failover mechanisms. Establish and oversee testing, training, and exercise programs to validate the effectiveness of IT BC/SC plans and procedures. Provide guidance and support to incident response teams during crisis situations. Monitor and analyze emerging threats, trends, and regulatory requirements related to IT BC/SC, recommending proactive measures to enhance resilience and compliance. Prepare and present reports, metrics, and recommendations to senior management to facilitate informed decision-making and investment in IT BC/SC initiatives.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred. Professional certifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Auditor, CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional), or equivalent are highly desirable. Over 5 years of proven experience in IT Business Continuity Management (BCM), Disaster Recovery (DR), or Service Continuity (SC) roles, preferably within a complex enterprise environment. Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 22301. Proficiency in BC/SC planning tools, risk assessment methodologies, and incident management platforms. In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications, including cloud technologies, virtualization, and network security. Strong analytical skills with the capability to assess risks, analyze impacts, and develop effective mitigation strategies. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate across all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and lead multidisciplinary teams in crisis situations.Additional Information:
