Logistics Management Specialist

This position is open to:
- Current INTERNAL Local National Employees across Germany, including personnel from the U.S. Forces in Germany.
- EXTERNAL Local National Applicants residing in Germany.
The incumbent will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist at the Battalion level within the 405th Army Field Support Brigade (405th AFSB), delivering critical support for diverse logistical operations and initiatives. Responsibilities include:
1. **Mission Support**: Engage in the formulation, coordination, evaluation, and execution of supply, transportation, and maintenance activities.
2. **Logistical Analysis**: Design and scrutinize various logistical reports to identify mission and spending deficiencies, readiness issues, and trends.
3. **Quality Monitoring**: Act as the primary contact for overseeing the effectiveness and quality of the local supply system.
4. **Reporting**: Prepare and present oral reports and formal briefings to senior management regarding logistical programs managed by the Battalion.
5. **Strategic Planning**: Develop comprehensive plans to achieve departmental objectives, integrating new policies and procedures into the battalion's operations.
6. **Project Coordination**: Lead special projects and studies related to logistics, including the creation of master scenario event lists and data collection plans for exercises.
7. **Regulatory Compliance**: Inspect operations for adherence to policies and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- **Education & Experience**: Relevant experience as outlined in the Education & Training Levels documentation.
- **Driver's License**: Possession of a valid German driver's license class B.
- **Office Skills**: Proficiency in office automation tools is essential.
- **Language Proficiency**: Required proficiency in English (C1) and German (C1).
This is a permanent full-time role (38.5 hours/week). The incumbent may be required to travel temporarily within Germany and may work remotely on an ad-hoc basis for special assignments. The ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs is necessary.
