Logistics Management Specialist

Eligible candidates include current internal Local National Employees throughout Germany, encompassing all Local National personnel of the U.S. Forces in Germany, including U.S. Air Force and AAFES-Europe. Additionally, external Local National applicants residing in Germany are welcome to apply.
Key ResponsibilitiesThis role functions as a Battalion-level Logistics Management Specialist within the 405th Army Field Support Brigade (405th AFSB), delivering essential support for a variety of logistical operations and programs. Responsibilities include:
- Engaging in the development, coordination, review, analysis, and execution of supply, transportation, and maintenance activities.
- Creating, reviewing, and analyzing logistical reports to identify mission deficiencies, budgetary issues, readiness concerns, and trends.
- Monitoring the quality and efficiency of the local supply system and preparing formal briefings for senior leadership regarding logistical programs.
- Formulating plans to achieve departmental objectives, studying relevant documents, regulations, and policies, and integrating them into the battalion's mission.
- Reviewing policy recommendations from Support Plans and Operations (SPO) Branch personnel, suggesting revisions, and coordinating with relevant staff.
- Conducting special projects and studies related to logistics, including the development of master scenario event lists and data collection plans for exercises.
- Inspecting activities for compliance with policies and recommending corrective actions as necessary.
- Performing various specialized tasks related to the distribution, storage, and automated control of supplies.
- Evaluating operational alternatives to ensure efficient worksite operations and resolving issues as they arise.
- Preparing and delivering oral reports and formal briefings to senior leadership regarding logistical programs.
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Possession of a German driver's license class B.
- Proficiency in office automation skills.
- Language proficiency in English (C1) and German (C1).
This is a permanent full-time position (38.5 hours per week). The incumbent may be required to perform temporary duty travel within Germany and may occasionally work remotely. The role requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
