This role functions as a pivotal Logistics Management Specialist at the Battalion level within the 405th Army Field Support Brigade (405th AFSB). The incumbent will provide essential support for a variety of logistical operations and programs. Responsibilities include:
1. **Development and Coordination**: Engage in the creation, review, and implementation of logistics-related activities encompassing supply, transportation, and maintenance.
2. **Analysis and Reporting**: Design and analyze logistical reports to identify mission shortfalls and readiness trends, ensuring efficient local supply system monitoring.
3. **Policy Review**: Evaluate policy recommendations from Support Plans and Operations (SPO) Branch personnel, suggesting necessary revisions and coordinating with relevant staff for higher authority approval.
4. **Project Management**: Lead special projects and studies related to logistics, including master scenario events lists and data collection plans for exercises.
5. **Operational Inspections**: Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with policies and recommend corrective actions for improvement.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- **Education & Experience**: Relevant experience as defined in the E&T Levels, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in clerical or similar roles, plus additional experience in logistics.
- **Driver's License**: Possession of a valid German driver's license class B is required.
- **Language Proficiency**: Fluency in English (C1) and German (C1) is mandatory.
- **Office Skills**: Proficiency in office automation is essential.
This is a permanent full-time position (38.5 hours/week). The role may require occasional Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) within Germany. The employee may work remotely on an ad-hoc basis for special assignments. Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs is necessary.
