Position Overview

As a pivotal member of our team, you will...

  • be responsible for the design and management of our comprehensive Cloud and on-premises networking solutions.
  • implement, operate, and maintain network frameworks tailored for a hybrid, multi-cloud setup.
  • lead projects aimed at ensuring our network infrastructure is robust, well-maintained, and adheres to industry best practices, facilitating a seamless transition to cloud services.
  • exhibit proficiency with Microsoft Azure (or AWS) and comparable cloud platforms, alongside experience in architecting, configuring, provisioning, and deploying solutions specifically at the network layer.
  • possess a deep understanding of networking technologies and vendors, including but not limited to Palo Alto, Aruba, LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, Firewalls, SDWAN, Load Balancers, Routing, and Switching.
  • develop network services utilizing infrastructure as code to automate the deployment of cloud network components.
  • conduct feasibility studies, IT concept development, market analysis, and vendor assessments.
  • collaborate with Cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with infrastructure and application security standards.
  • ensure the reliability of the company’s network and cloud infrastructure through proactive monitoring and alerting mechanisms.
  • oversee the operational integrity of our connectivity network infrastructure.
  • produce all essential operational documentation related to the network infrastructure.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should...

  • hold a Bachelor's degree in technology or computer science, or have completed an apprenticeship with relevant professional experience.
  • demonstrate extensive experience in network infrastructure design, implementation, and administration.
  • have knowledge and experience with network operating systems such as Aruba OS-CX and/or Cisco IOS.
  • possess strong hands-on experience with the Palo Alto Suite and Aviatrix.
  • be familiar with internet routing protocols and concepts including TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, IS-IS, OSPF, IPSec, VPNs, DNS, SSL, and other network services.
  • have experience with OT architectures and Software-Defined WAN (SDWAN) deployments.
  • ideally, have experience using Jira and Confluence.
  • demonstrate proven experience with public cloud providers such as Azure and AWS.
  • exhibit strong automation skills with hands-on scripting or programming experience.
  • have a thorough understanding of TCP/IP, Subnetting, DHCP, and NAT.
  • possess significant experience with the ITIL framework and IT Service Management (ITSM).
  • be fluent in English and possess strong German language skills.
