Information Security and Compliance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced (Senior) Information Security and Compliance Specialist to join our team at virtualQ GmbH. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our customers' security requirements and our internal IT security, as well as the security concepts of our product.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless IT security operations.
- Provide expert advice to our Enterprise customers on all IT security matters related to our product, including data protection and compliance.
- Review and coordinate customer contracts, ensuring alignment with data protection options and collaborating with our legal team.
- Ensure IT security and compliance within the company, working closely with our Head of Engineering.
- Administer and develop our Information Security Management System (ISMS) according to ISO27001 standards.
**Requirements:**
- Several years of experience in IT security and/or information security of confidential data.
- Strong technical understanding and interest in IT security, data protection, and cybersecurity.
- Excellent customer and service orientation, with strong communication and team skills.
- Basic knowledge of data protection law to effectively discuss and understand legal issues with our legal team.
- Independence and a structured, analytical approach.
- Knowledge of security standards ISO27001, with a willingness to obtain corresponding certifications.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps is a plus.
