Director of Commercial Strategy

Mantell Associates is collaborating with a Small Molecule CDMO in search of a Director of Commercial Strategy to enhance its Business Development team. In this pivotal role, you will manage the complete range of products and services while taking charge of designated client accounts.

Director of Commercial Strategy - Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct all Sales, Business Development, and Marketing initiatives within the organization.
  • Identify and cultivate new business prospects to broaden the company's influence and effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain enduring relationships with clients through established networks and various sales methodologies to expand the client portfolio.
  • Maintain regular communication with key decision-makers across different departments within client organizations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to devise strategies aimed at attracting and retaining clients, thereby enhancing awareness of the company's offerings to boost revenue.
  • Lead the acquisition of projects - negotiate agreements, create client proposals and bids, and finalize contracts to achieve business goals.
  • Work in partnership with colleagues from diverse departments to develop customized solutions and promote internal collaboration.
  • Participate in significant conferences to increase company visibility and uncover new opportunities.

Director of Commercial Strategy - Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutics, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive leadership experience in Sales/Business Development and Key Account Management within a Commercial environment.
  • Proven ability to convert customer focus and expert insights into sales achievements and lasting client relationships.
  • Exceptional networking capabilities and the ability to forge relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Possess technical expertise and subject matter knowledge.
  • Demonstrated success in establishing strategic alliances.
  • Exhibit outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and clients concurrently.
  • Proficient in leveraging technology as an integral part of the sales process.
