Mantell Associates is collaborating with a Small Molecule CDMO in search of a Director of Commercial Development to enhance its Sales team. In this pivotal role, you will manage the complete range of products and services while taking charge of designated client accounts.

Director of Commercial Development - Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee strategic initiatives for all Sales, Business Development, and Marketing efforts within the organization.
  • Identify and cultivate new business prospects to broaden the company's influence and effectiveness.
  • Build enduring relationships with clients by leveraging existing networks and various sales methodologies to expand the client portfolio.
  • Maintain regular communication with key decision-makers across different departments within client organizations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to formulate strategies aimed at attracting and retaining clients, thereby enhancing the visibility of the company's offerings and boosting revenue.
  • Lead project acquisition efforts - negotiate agreements, create client proposals and bids, and finalize contracts to achieve business goals.
  • Work in partnership with colleagues from diverse departments to develop customized solutions and promote internal collaboration.
  • Participate in significant conferences to elevate company visibility and uncover new business opportunities.

Director of Commercial Development - Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutics, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive leadership experience in Sales/Business Development and Key Account Management within a Commercial context.
  • Proven ability to convert customer focus and expert guidance into sales achievements and sustainable client relationships.
  • Exceptional networking capabilities and proficiency in building relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Possess in-depth technical knowledge and subject matter expertise.
  • Demonstrated success in forming strategic partnerships.
  • Exhibit outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and clients concurrently.
  • Comfortable using technology as an integral part of the sales process.
