Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to take on the role of Director of Mergers and Acquisitions. This position is critical in driving our expansion efforts, particularly in the German-speaking markets.

Key Responsibilities

M&A Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses
  • Perform detailed company valuations
  • Execute market research and analysis on potential partners
  • Collaborate with operational teams to develop strategic business plans
  • Independently oversee M&A processes
  • Recruit and build a high-performing team to execute mandates
  • Manage a dedicated back-office and middle-office team
  • Drive local business development initiatives
  • Engage in proactive commercial prospecting
  • Identify and source new client opportunities

Market Development

  • Enhance the visibility of EFINOR within the industry
  • Build and maintain relationships with advisors and strategic partners
  • Manage profit and loss responsibilities
  • Recruit and lead office heads across the targeted regions
  • Oversee additional office locations
  • Report directly to the executive group
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in a mergers and acquisitions environment
  • Expertise in financial analysis and corporate finance
  • A robust understanding of the industrial landscape and an established network
  • A strong interest in marketing and commercial strategy, complemented by technical skills
  • A proactive mindset with exceptional commercial insight
  • Demonstrated team leadership capabilities
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in French is advantageous
