Regional Sales Leader, Pulp Sector

We are seeking a driven and dynamic Area Sales Manager (all genders) to spearhead sales initiatives within our pulp and paper division across Northern Germany. This position is tailored for seasoned sales professionals who possess a comprehensive understanding of the pulp and paper market and have demonstrated leadership capabilities. You will operate from Northern Germany and report directly to the Senior Sales Manager for Pulp & Paper, overseeing the Germany and Switzerland regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the commercial sales of chemical products to designated pulp and paper facilities in Germany, ensuring full accountability for revenue generation and profitability within your designated area.
  • Lead and mentor a team of sales representatives, engaging directly with clients in your territory.
  • Manage the retention and growth of existing client relationships while pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Assess sales potential from both technical and commercial perspectives.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Maintain and manage the CRM system effectively.
  • Coordinate projects with an international network of application specialists.

Qualifications:

  • A university degree or equivalent experience in business, sales & marketing, chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of proven success in proactive B2B sales of paper chemicals.
  • A strong history of achieving or surpassing sales objectives and fostering business expansion.
  • A passion for leading a team and collaborating within an international, cross-functional environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills in both German and English.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in collaboration, solution-oriented selling, and relationship management.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
