Strategic Business Development Lead

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification and development of significant project investment opportunities for Linde, with a particular emphasis on Clean Hydrogen across the EMEA region.
  • Drive the progression of opportunities from initial concept through to final investment decision, ensuring robust commercial structures and modeling of essential financial KPIs.
  • Utilize your market insights, understanding of the competitive landscape, and knowledge of regulatory frameworks (such as RFNBO and CBAM) to craft compelling investment opportunities.
  • Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate timely decision-making processes.
  • Guide cross-functional teams in creating safe, technical, and commercial concepts that align with Linde's offerings to customers and partners.
  • Negotiate and finalize long-term supply agreements while maintaining value integrity throughout the terms and conditions discussions.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field; a post-graduate qualification in business or marketing is advantageous.
  • Over 5 years of relevant experience in the Industrial Gas sector, successfully managing complex projects and leading high-performing teams across various business functions.
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to lead workstreams, ensure accountability, and track deliverables effectively.
  • Capability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities within stringent timelines.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and experience in developing investment opportunities.
  • Proven track record in cultivating customer relationships, showcasing key leadership attributes such as strong communication, interpersonal skills, trust-building, resourcefulness, and proactivity.
  • Familiarity with the renewables industry is a plus.
