Lead Engineer for Construction Tools Development (m/w/d)

Location: Germany

Your Role
  • As a subject matter expert and project leader, you will support our business operations.
  • Your primary responsibility will be the application, management, training, and further development of proprietary and commercial Construction IT systems from the user perspective.
  • The focus of these systems will be on assembly planning, subcontracting, and construction execution, including cost, schedule, and quality tracking, as well as process interfaces to engineering, procurement, and logistics.
  • You will oversee the following processes and supporting IT systems:
  • Linde's Construction Management Platform, including applications for material management, material control, progress monitoring (construction, mechanical, E&I), pipeline construction oversight, welding management, QA/QC, testing and inspection oversight on construction sites, defect resolution, plant completion management, 4D support, and the use of proprietary mobile applications.
  • AVA System RIB iTWO for managing quantities, costs, and specifications.
  • Systems for personnel planning of construction site staff.
  • Systems for quantity determination of construction services.
  • You will collaborate with internal and external service providers, other departments, and Linde Engineering branches both domestically and internationally.
Requirements for Success
  • University degree in a technical, scientific, or business-related field.
  • At least ten years of professional experience, including site management in mechanical assembly, pipeline construction, welding, and material management.
  • Additional knowledge in electrical & instrumentation, construction/steel construction, or subcontracting is advantageous.
  • You combine user knowledge with in-depth IT skills in client-server environments, databases, SQL, and data analysis.
  • A willingness to further develop in this field is one of your strengths.
  • You possess a good understanding of work processes, analytical skills, and think in terms of data and process flows.
  • Proficient English skills, both written and spoken.
  • You enjoy traveling.
