Strategic Development Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • In this position, you will spearhead the identification and development of substantial project investment prospects for Linde, particularly focusing on Clean Hydrogen initiatives across the EMEA region.
  • Your role involves advancing opportunities from initial concept through to final investment decisions, ensuring that commercial structures and key financial KPIs are effectively modeled.
  • Utilizing your expertise in market dynamics, competitive analysis, regulatory frameworks (such as RFNBO and CBAM), as well as customer and industry trends, you will play a crucial role in shaping the investment opportunities.
  • Engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate timely decision-making will be a significant aspect of your responsibilities.
  • You will lead cross-functional teams to create safe, technical, and commercial solutions that align with Linde's offerings to customers and partners.
  • Additionally, negotiating long-term supply agreements while maintaining value integrity throughout the terms and conditions discussions will be part of your duties.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field is required; a post-graduate qualification in business or marketing is advantageous.
  • You should possess over 5 years of relevant experience in the Industrial Gas sector, successfully managing complex projects and leading high-performing teams across various business functions.
  • A strong grasp of project management principles, accountability, and deliverable tracking is essential.
  • The ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines is crucial.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and experience in developing investment opportunities are key attributes.
  • Proven experience in cultivating customer relationships and demonstrating leadership qualities, including effective communication, interpersonal skills, trust-building, resourcefulness, and proactivity, is expected.
  • Familiarity with the renewables sector is a plus.
